Diwang Makabansa is a website dedicated to establishing a credible information network for the Filipino community abroad and even within the country. The name 'Diwang Makabansa' comes from the translation of 'nationalism' in Filipino.

The website aims to solve and inform the people regarding the problematic issue of ‘diaspora’; the term used to describe the people who are displaced from their original homeland, which is being felt by the Filipinos working or living in the foreign countries. These include those people that identify themselves as out of place; living abroad, or as OFWs; working abroad. Their prolonged absence from the home country; whether physically or mentally, has not only made them feel out of place, but has also slowly chipped away their sense of nationalism. The feeling of prolonged displacement has made Filipinos scattered throughout the world, strain their Filipino identity, as it has been difficult to maintain without the help or influence of fellow Filipinos. This is where the writings of Jose Rizal come into play, as his writings have been proven helpful in inspiring Filipinos to retain their roots and to strengthen their love for the motherland.
